As of May 2025, the Seaborne Trade Estimates dataset in UN Comtrade will no longer be accessible through our user interface or API. Instead, users can download the historical datasets directly from the following link: AIS Data archive (85MB). Note that this is an experimental indicator to monitor trade and maritime transport trends, not official statistics.

The dataset is no longer updated and has been discontinued since December 2024. The estimates presented in this dataset were provisional and should be used with an understanding of their limitations.
